Our Hillsdale Live in the midst of the hills dotted with tea plantations and quaint villages
Hillsdale is conveniently located on the Kotagiri highway between the Badaga villages of Yedapalli and Ellithorai. The road winds up the hill giving each plot owner a view of the Cedara estate and the villages below.
This community has developed over the years from numerous patches of tea estates and has scope for expansion. The gated community has plots ranging from 10 cents to 20 cents. Many plots have more than one side of the approach, and the terrain offers privacy from neighbours. As you reach the plateau, the land flattens, and a bird's eye view of the surroundings is a fascinating sight. The views of hillocks rolling out into oblivion are unmatched.
Hillsdale has 39 plots today and eight dwelling units. Each home is built with adapted English architecture, dormers, and gable roofs that add charm to the environment. The gardens are usually well kept, and the locals maintain the tea plants. An additional water connection with the Panchayat is a boon to the place. Coonoor is a 10-minute drive away. Being near Wellington and the new Sai Baba Ashram & Hospital has attracted golfers and defence personnel, besides some retirees.
